Cafe @ Oyler's- Breakfast on the Farm

A short description of the page

Join us for breakfast!

What makes your breakfast special?

We make our pancakes, buttermilk waffles, and blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes from scratch with certified organic unbleached, unbrommated Pennsylvania milled flour.  We make our own ricotta cheese with organic milk for our blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes, and we hand zest and squeeze the organic lemons for our batter.  In addition, we use organic blueberries in our mix.  We serve organic maple syrup from Brookfield Maple Products in Westfield.  We make our own fruit toppings from scratch with organic fruit and organic sugar.  We do not use any artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, produce treated with Apeel, or genetically modified ingredients.  One reason we take the extra step of using organic flours is to minimize any glyphosate residue exposure to sensitive individuals.  All of the meats we use are organic and free of added nitrates and nitrites.  We make our own English muffins from scratch with organic ingredients.  We offer a gluten free four seed toast from Amaranth Gluten Free Bakery in Lancaster.  We also serve true organic sourdough bread from McGrath's Brick Oven Bakehouse in Mechanicsburg.

When?

Every Saturday May through the second Saturday in October. In addition, we serve breakfast the first Saturday of the month November through April.  The time is consistent, from 8:30 to 11:30am.

Where?

We serve breakfast outdoors at our farm and market located at 400 Pleasant Valley Road, Biglerville, PA  17307.  Seating is available at picnic tables in front of our market and on the front porch of our farm market.  Breakfast is served rain or shine.  During the winter months and in the case of inclement weather, breakfast is served in our packing house.

How does it work?

Upon arrival, please choose a table and flip up the black sign so "reserved" is showing.  Make note of your table number.  You may place your order at the outside order window.  Menus are available at the window.  Your food will be brought to your table.  Your table will be cleared for you.  Feel free to browse our farm market while we prepare your food.

Do I need reservations?

No reservations are necessary.  If you are bringing a group with more than 10 people, you may call ahead of time although it is not required.

Why should I travel out of my way for breakfast?

  1. We appreciate people who choose to support local, family owned businesses instead of corporate owned restaurant chains.
  2. We use high quality ingredients, most of which are certified organic.
  3. Our menu has been created with food sensitivities and special diets in mind and may be easily tailored to your dietary needs and preferences.
  4. You are not rushed.  We embrace more of a slow food atmosphere where you can come escape from your busy week for a morning and relax on our organic farm.
